A LITTLE BIT OF HISTORY…

The island derives its name from the Roman name Ustum, which means "burnt". It is probably due to its volcanic aspect and its particular geological structures. This name, however, is contradicted by the green that covers the isle and brightens up its landscape. The Island of Ustica, which was the first Mediterranean resort to be declared marine natural reserve, is an authentic Paradise, thirty-six miles away from the Sicilian Coast, which holds in the depths of its waters most of the marine fauna and flora of our Mare Nostrum. Ustica has been divided into three naturalistic areas in order to avoid the harmful effects of an indiscriminate tourism and has been subject to a series of interventions in defence of its inestimable natural patrimony.

intermediate 1, intermediate 2 , advanced, men and women's technique, chacarena, theatre tango!

as well as the ‘’noche in Milonga’’ every night after 10.30 p.m. in the charming ‘’Siesta’’ hall with a sea view and, to conclude, the ‘’Tango Entertainment’’ evening in the main square on Friday night.

OUR ACCOMMODATION…

In the Hotel ‘’ **** Grotta Azzurra ‘’ (Framon Hotel group) . Retired in the most evocative part of Ustica island, with white pavilions and flowering terraces sloping down to the sea, the Hotel is sorrounded by an oasis of colours and perfumes typical of the Mediterranean vegetation.

A wonderful natural cave, Grotta Azzurra, after which the Hotel is called, is set in the cliff below: one of the most beautiful in the island, renowned for the spectacular chromatic plays you can enjoy inside it. The Restaurant "La cala dei Fenici" offers the typical specialities of the island in a perfect union between the pleasure of a good cuisine and a refined service.
